Job summary

Sena Diecasting Ind Sdn Bhd in Sungai Buloh is seeking a Plating Process Specialist to identify and solve issues across equipment, materials, and process control, ensuring quality and compliance with customer specs.

You will collaborate with production, QA and HSE teams to optimize plating operations, run periodic quality tests, trial new chemistries, and promote environmentally sustainable practices while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• At least a certificate in chemistry, applied science, chemical engineering or related field.
• Experience with electroplating principles, techniques and equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO/TS quality standards and manufacturing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify and solve issues in the plating process including equipment, materials, or process control.
• Ensure plating quality and consistency to meet standards and customer requirements.
• Work with production for optimization and continuous improvement of plating processes.
• Manage periodical plating quality tests and trial new chemicals and processes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and standards; monitor emissions and effluents.
• Train staff on safe plating practices and handling of chemicals and hazardous waste.
• Maintain chemicals stock levels and ordering.
• Perform other duties as required.
