Job summary

Reap is hiring a senior backend/platform engineer to own integration design, API delivery, and cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will lead architecture decisions while remaining hands-on, with no people management.

You should have 8–10+ years in backend or platform engineering, strong API, data, and cloud skills, plus fintech or payments experience. The role offers a flexible hybrid/remote setup and opportunities to shape critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of backend or platform engineering experience.
• Proven leadership in technical roles and architecture decisions.
• Strong API design, data modeling, and integration skills.
• Experience with fintech, payments, or crypto integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain robust integrations between our platform and external third-party systems.
• Design and implement well-structured APIs and services.
• Build and operate services on AWS with CI/CD and IaC.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for integrations.
• Use AI tools in day-to-day development and promote AI adoption.
• Set technical direction and mentor engineers.
