Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a Cloud Native PaaS Platform Operations Engineer in Malaysia to own daily operations and monitoring of Kubernetes clusters. You will handle faults, contribute to container image management, and support deployment and maintenance of cloud-native applications on the platform.

The role requires 5+ years in IT operations with Kubernetes/Docker, Linux, Git, Jenkins/Argo, Helm, Ansible, Python or Shell, and Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT operations experience with Kubernetes or Docker.
• Familiar with Linux system management and DevOps toolchains.
• Strong troubleshooting, scripting and automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily operations and monitoring of Kubernetes clusters.
• Handle faults and problems in the platform environment.
• Participate in building and managing container images and deploying cloud-native apps.
• Assist in managing and maintaining the DevOps toolchain.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts.

Cloud Native PaaS Platform Operations Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily operations and monitoring of Kubernetes clusters.
• Responsible for handling faults and problems.
• Participate in the building and management of container images and assist in the deployment and management of cloud-native applications on the platform
• Assist in the management and maintenance of the DevOps toolchain.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of automation scripts.
• Assist in platform security hardening.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT operations and maintenance experience, with experience in Kubernetes or Docker preferred.
• Familiar with the basic concepts and working principles of Kubernetes clusters.
• Understand common DevOps toolchains, such as Git, Jenkins/Argo, Docker, Helm, Ansible etc.
• Familiar with Linux system management and common commands.
• Possess a certain level of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Possess a certain programming foundation (such as Python, Shell).
• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
