Job summary

Heng Yuen Minerals (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a mechanically skilled technician to inspect, maintain and repair equipment at the washing plant. You will troubleshoot breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors and related machinery.

Welding and fabrication skills are a plus, with work conducted in a plant environment. Independent, responsible candidates with hands-on experience in mining or mineral processing equipment are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Experience in factory, washing plant, mining, quarry or mineral processing equipment is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes and mechanical equipment.
• Welding and fabrication skills are an advantage.
• Able to work independently, responsible and willing to work in a plant environment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Malaysian citizens / candidates with valid working rights in Malaysia are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment at the washing plant.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain and repair pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors and related equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform basic welding, cutting and fabrication work when required.
• Maintain tools and spare parts and ensure a safe working environment.
