Job summary

Based in Malaysia, the role requires collaboration with production, contractors and vendors, with after-hours support as needed to meet plant goals and uptime targets.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Planning & Execution: coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to maximise equipment uptime.
• Cost Control & Spare Parts Management: source parts from approved vendors and monitor expenses.
• Maintenance Records & Reporting: keep downtime data, preventive maintenance schedules and actions up to date.
• Team Supervision & Development: guide technicians; support HR training initiatives.
• Troubleshooting, RCA & Engineering Improvements: perform root-cause analysis and lead improvements.
• Safety, Compliance & 5S: ensure IMS, DOSH/DOE compliance and good housekeeping.
• CAPEX & Continuous Improvement: manage CAPEX projects and evaluate improvements.
• Coordination & Operational Support: work with production, contractors and vendors; assist after hours.

• Job Responsibilities
• Maintenance Planning & Execution Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance activities by effectively allocating manpower, materials, and schedules to ensure high equipment uptime and reliable plant operations.
• Cost Control & Spare Parts Management Manage spare parts sourcing from approved vendors, monitor maintenance expenses, and prepare periodic cost reports for management review.
• Maintenance Records & Reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, including equipment downtime, preventive maintenance schedules, and corrective action tracking.
• Team Supervision & Development Supervise and guide maintenance technicians to improve performance and reduce downtime. Support training and development initiatives in collaboration with HR.
• Troubleshooting, RCA & Engineering Improvements Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment issues. Lead engineering modifications and improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, safety, and performance.
• Safety, Compliance & 5S Ensure compliance with safety standards, IMS requirements, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., DOSH/JKKP, DOE). Maintain good housekeeping practices in line with 5S principles.
• CAPEX & Continuous Improvement Support and manage CAPEX and improvement projects, including technical evaluation and implementation, to enhance plant efficiency, safety, and product quality.
• Coordination & Operational Support Work closely with production, contractors, and vendors to ensure maintenance activities meet operational goals. Provide support for urgent repairs when required, including after office hours, weekends, and public holidays.
