Job summary

PPG Coatings (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Petaling Jaya is seeking a Production Planner to work onsite, reporting to the Production Planning Manager. You will manage production planning, scheduling, and material planning to meet customer delivery dates and manufacturing requirements.

You’ll collaborate with Raw Material Planners, procurement, Customer Service, Sales, Quality Assurance and Operations to resolve capacity constraints, coordinate timely batches, NPIs and color matchings, while upholding

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in any relevant courses.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience.
• Experience in chemical industry preferred.
• Experience in Oracle is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Check and analyze customer orders and forecast trends
• Establish overall production planning and scheduling to meet customer delivery dates in the respective Business Unit
• Perform production planning and scheduling, material planning for day‑to‑day manufacturing requirements
• Coordinate with Raw Material Planners and procurement teams to ensure raw material and packaging supplies are available in time for scheduled batches
• Generate and issue Batch Cards, coordinate with inter departments related to planning workflow
• Monitor production planning and scheduling to meet the target output and timeline
• Monitor finished goods and raw material usage levels to avoid stockouts while minimizing holding costs and obsolete material accumulation
• Partner with Customer Service, Sales, Quality Assurance, and Operations to resolve capacity constraints, manage urgent customer requests, and implement recovery schedules
• Facilitate smooth scheduling and material preparation for new product introductions (NPI), industrial trials and color matchings
• Ensure all planning processes comply with PPG Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines and international quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001)
