Job summary

RC Engineering & Trading Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Planner in Perai, Penang to manage demand, production schedules, material readiness and shipment plans. You will coordinate with sales, production, procurement and shipping to optimise capacity and resources for on-time fulfillment.

The role requires a postgraduate diploma or professional degree and at least two years in manufacturing planning. Strong analytical and communication skills, plus ERP/Excel familiarity, are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a Postgraduate Diploma or Professional Degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 2 year of relevant working experience in manufacturing, production planning, demand planning or a related field.
• Experience with production scheduling, material planning, order fulfilment or ERP/planning systems will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret demand and capacity data.
• Good time-management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing customer requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
• Able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer orders, requirements and delivery commitments; prepare realistic shipment plans based on operational capacity and material availability.
• Develop, maintain and execute Master Production Schedules (MPS) to support on-time delivery and maximise manufacturing capacity.
• Monitor material availability and assess raw materials, manpower and machine capacity to identify potential constraints.
• Coordinate with procurement and supporting teams to prevent material shortages and ensure production readiness.
• Serve as the key liaison between sales, marketing, production, shipping and management to resolve bottlenecks, capacity issues and shipment variances.
• Analyse customer loading plans against facility capacity worksheets and recommend practical actions to balance demand and supply.
• Update ERP and planning systems accurately and promptly to reflect the latest demand, production and shipment information.
• Prepare and review planning data, reports and forecasts to support timely business decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, communication flow and delivery performance.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Planner to manage customer demand, production schedules, material readiness and shipment planning for an assigned product line or business unit. This role is key to ensuring customer requirements are met on time while optimising manufacturing capacity, materials and operational resources.

You will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, production, procurement, shipping and management to maintain smooth order fulfilment and resolve planning challenges.
