Job summary

SLB in Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner to plan and coordinate customer orders using project management and MRP tools. The role focuses on releasing work orders, monitoring backlog, and ensuring on-time delivery in line with customer requirements.

You will manage material kits, coordinate with buyers and production planners, attend daily meetings, and drive continuous improvement through problem solving and scheduling optimization. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• 1–2 years’ experience as a planner in an MNC would be an advantage.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (BA) or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor production orders, release work orders and ensure on-time delivery based on customer requirements.
• Review backlog to avoid past-due MAD and align CSD for accurate completion dates; request CAD date changes and follow up with the Project dept.
• Create rework orders and follow up NCR components under Engineering revision changes.
• Prepare shop packets based on planned order reports and manage material kits status to ensure full kits before planned start date.
• Lead meetings, update status, and drive communication across the shop via ODM and SFDM.
• Provide weekly material kits status reports and update revenue-related progress to align with the revenue commitment plan.
• Conduct A4 problem solving as part of continuous improvement and review routing lead times to stabilize MRP.

Plan and coordinate function to fulfill customer orders using project management/planning and MRP tools as applicable to ensure customer order is delivered on time

Roles and Responsibilities

Daily

• 1. Plan and monitor production order which include releasing of work orders and ensure on time delivery of shipment based on customer requirement. This includes:
• Raise routing request, submit cost roll form before WO launch
• Review backlog and ensure no past due MAD and align CSD to ensure completion date accuracy, Request for CAD date change and follow up with Project dept.
• Rework order creation & follow up for NCR components under Engineering revision change.
• Prepare shop packet based on planned order report
• 2. Follow up on material kits status to ensure full kits prior the planned start date:
• Prepare for 3-month shortages list (add in as necessary) - \"Buy-parts\" with buyer, \"Make-parts\" with production planner; and periodically update on toolbox file.
• 3. Follow up on revenue items with operations as per listed in the revenue file to ensure completion as per revenue commitment plan.
• 4. Attending meetings & updating status to ensure current communication flow to shop
  • Attend ODM (Office Daily Meeting) and update the status.
  • Attend SFDM (Shop Floor Daily Management) meeting
• Revenue projection update & balance to PTS (Pass-to-stock) status.
• Preparation & communication of reports:
  • Provide weekly report/ updates on material kits status for Production Planner to
  • Lead weekly meetings with the operating team to review the plan.
• Conduct A4 problem solving as part of continuous improvement process.
• To review master routing lead time after releases versus material master lead time (rough cut routing) to stabilize MRP.

Monthly

• 1. Review on work center hours and summarize material kits status for the current month and next one month.
• 2. HSE submission (RIR & OI) as part of the company KPI.
• 3. Review exception messages for production order and perform re-scheduling to reflect the current schedule/ progress.

Others (when required)

• 1. Trigger for delivery notes once parts has been PTS.
• 2. Handle Substitution request (if required).
• 3. Project request on customer cancellation cost analysis.
• 4. Handle MR (Material Request) triggered by shop floor.
• 5. MTO Switching request (if required).
• 6. Handle AFE request (if required).

Qualifications and Education Requirement
