Job summary

Dialog Group Berhad is seeking a senior Piping Design Engineer to lead the piping group and drive design philosophy, bases and material selection. You will supervise and plan piping activities to meet client specs and schedules.

You will review all piping deliverables and pipe stress analyses for onshore/offshore facilities, ensuring compliance with API, ASME B31.3 and related codes. EPC site support experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• A recognized Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15 years' piping design experience across conceptual, FEED and detailed engineering for on/offshore facilities.
• Familiar with API, ASME B31.3, ASTM, NFPA, NACE, DEPs, PTS, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead piping engineering group and develop piping design philosophies, design basis, specification and material selection.
• Manage and plan piping design activities to meet client specifications within the agreed timeframe.
• Review all piping design deliverables including MTO, route studies, GA drawings, pipe and special support drawings, Pipe stress analysis, etc.
• Develop methodologies, schedules and piping material take-off exercises.
• Review technical evaluation reports prepared by engineers.
• Review the impact on health, safety and the environment in the piping design.

Job description

• Develop methodologies, schedules and piping material take-off exercise.
• Review technical evaluation reports prepared by engineers.
• Review the impact on health, safety and the environment in the piping design

Requirements:

• A recognized Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 15 years' Piping design both in conceptual engineering, FEED and detailed engineering for onshore/offshore oil & gas Offsite facilities incl bulk storage tank terminals
• Familiar with international codes and standards such as API, ASME B31.3, ASTM, NFPA, NACE, DEPs, PTS, etc.
• Exposure to EPC Site construction supports will be an advantage
