About the role
We are seeking a qualified Physiotherapist to join our team on a full-time basis at our George Town, Penang facility. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes whilst working within a supportive, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in our clinic's mission to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to patients of all ages and conditions. You will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and other conditions, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to optimise patient recovery and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments to evaluate patient conditions, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, and functional training
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment programmes as required to achieve optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and home exercise programmes
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure coordinated care
- Participate in case discussions and team meetings to support continuous improvement in patient care
- Adhere to infection control protocols, health and safety regulations, and professional codes of conduct
What we're looking for
- A recognised degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution
- Valid physiotherapy registration or licensure to practise in Malaysia
- Proven clinical experience in delivering physiotherapy services, ideally in a healthcare facility or clinic setting
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues
- Proficiency in patient assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation
- A commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development
- Physical capability to perform hands-on treatment and support patient mobility
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple patient caseloads effectively
- Experience with diverse patient populations and a range of conditions is advantageous
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems is desirable
