Job summary

Exact is expanding its Ipoh hub and building an engineering team to support business growth. You will own the quality and performance of deliverables, design scalable applications, and work within a SCRUM team using PHP, Symfony, React, Vue, and TypeScript on Azure/AWS.

We expect 4+ years hands-on PHP development, strong knowledge of SOLID principles, unit testing, and Agile practices. Hybrid working is available, and you will be based in Ipoh with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 4+ years hands-on PHP development.
• Strong PHP (Symfony), React, Vue, TypeScript, and SQL experience.
• Solid understanding of design principles (SOLID), design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with unit testing ( PHPUnit ).
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working (SCRUM/Kanban).
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of quality, performance, and reliability of code and deliverables.
• Design, develop, and test scalable applications within a SCRUM team.
• Work with a modern tech stack (PHP, Symfony, React, Vue, TypeScript, Azure, AWS).
• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot issues, resolve bugs, and ensure system stability.
• Share knowledge, mentor peers, and support team growth.
• This role is fully based in Ipoh.
