Job summary

Columbia Asia Hospital - Petaling Jaya is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support the Pharmacy Manager in daily operations. You will assist in dispensing and distributing drugs, ensure accuracy in prescription processing, and maintain dispensing records with proper labeling and second-checks.

You will work with clinical staff to ensure patient medications are correct and clearly instructed, and you will help manage stock, purchasing, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmacy or MOH licence requirement.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of drug names and pharmacy math.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day supervision of pharmacy technicians.
• Assist in dispensing and distribution of drugs.
• Ensure medication orders are entered accurately into the dispensing system.
• Maintain dispensing records and ensure correct labeling and second-checks.
• Adhere to SOPs for dispensing medicines, especially controlled drugs.
• Provide clear instructions to outpatients and discharged patients.
• Record requisitions accurately and liaise with clinical team on patient medications.
• Prepare reports on medication utilization, billing and inventory.
