Overview
A Pharmacy Merchandiser ensures that products are well-displayed, fully stocked, accurately priced, and compliant with brand guidelines in pharmacy outlets. This role supports sales growth, improves customer experience, and strengthens brand visibility.
Merchandising & Display Management
- Arrange and maintain product displays according to planograms and brand guidelines.
- Set up promotional materials (wobblers, posters, shelf talkers, buntings, display units).
- Ensure shelves remain clean, organised, and visually attractive.
- Take clear photos of displays for reporting and documentation.
- Rotate stocks using FIFO and remove near-expiry or damaged items.
Inventory & Stock Monitoring
- Check stock levels during each outlet visit.
- Record stock counts accurately in Excel spreadsheets.
- Update stock movement, near-expiry lists, and out-of-stock (OOS) items.
- Prepare and submit weekly Excel-based stock reports to the Sales Manager.
- Alert the Sales team regarding replenishment needs or unusual stock trends.
Brand & Marketing Execution
- Implement in-store promotions and ensure correct price tagging and POSM placement.
- Ensure timely execution of promotional and branding activities.
- Monitor competitor displays, pricing, and campaigns and report observations.
Relationship Management
- Build good rapport with pharmacists, store managers, and pharmacy staff.
- Coordinate with store personnel on display arrangements, approvals, and campaign setup.
Reporting & Documentation
- Submit daily/weekly reports including:
- Photo reports
- Stock status updates
- Promotion execution tracking
- Competitor updates
- Provide feedback on store conditions and customer behaviour.
Requirements
- Candidates with pharmacy assistant experience are welcomed.
- Experience in FMCG, healthcare, or pharmacy retail is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data entry, stock tracking).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit for arranging products and carrying display units.
- Own transport and able to travel to multiple outlets daily.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and responsible.
