Job summary

Kencana Pharma Tech Sdn Bhd in Jitra, Kedah is seeking a Research Assistant (Pharmacist) for a full-time, on-site role to support clinical and medical research efforts.

You will plan, design and execute studies, prepare protocols, review literature, recruit participants, maintain records and ensure GMP and ethics compliance. This role offers RM2,200–RM3,000 monthly, professional development and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent pharmaceutical qualification.
• Current or recently obtained Pharmacy registration or licensure.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical science, pharmacology and clinical research methodologies.
• Excellent knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and ethical standards in medical research.
• Proficiency in data collection, organisation and basic statistical analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design and execution of clinical and medical research studies.
• Support the preparation of research protocols and documentation.
• Conduct literature reviews and compile research data to support ongoing studies.
• Assist in recruiting, screening and coordinating with study participants.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of research activities and observations.
• Prepare samples, solutions and pharmaceutical formulations as required for research purposes.
• Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of research data under supervision.
• Support the preparation of research reports, publications and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols, GMP and research ethics standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers, clinicians and laboratory technicians.
