Job summary

Columbia Asia Hospital – Taiping seeks an experienced OR nurse to deliver high standards of peri-operative care for surgical patients. You will prep the operating room, check equipment, assemble consumables and assist during anesthesia, with duties extending to documentation and post-operative reporting.

Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for all disciplines, coordinating with nursing units, and contributing to on-call rosters for emergencies.

Qualifications

• RN with at least 2 years experience in nursing.
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing required; Post-basic in peri-operative nursing preferred.
• Valid Annual Practising Certificate in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high standard nursing care and treatment for surgical patients.
• Receive and check patient pre-operatively according to the checklist.
• Prepare OR for surgical procedures and ensure equipment is in working condition.
• Assemble consumables and OR sets needed for procedures.
• Circulate and scrub for surgical procedures across disciplines.
• Assist Anesthetist during administration of anesthesia.
• Participate in on-call roster for emergencies.
• Observe and report patient conditions and update OR register.
