Grab is seeking a seasoned People Operations Business Partner to align people strategy with business objectives across designated departments in Malaysia. You will serve as a strategic advisor, delivering end-to-end HR expertise spanning talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, and leadership development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years in HRBP in technology, fintech, or high-growth organisations.
• Track record of solving complex problems and guiding senior HR professionals through ambiguity.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with employees and leaders at all levels.
• Experience with HRIS systems and people analytics tools to extract workforce insights and present data to leadership.
• Structured analytical skills with demonstrated judgement in diagnosing organisational challenges.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Knowledge of employment laws across markets where we operate.

The HR team, known as the People Operations (Pops) team, drives Grab's mission to revolutionise transportation and financial inclusion in Southeast Asia. We are dedicated to finding, nurturing, and retaining the remarkable talent that drives our success and innovation.

Get to Know the Role

As a People Operations Business Partner (Pops BP), you will play a strategic role in aligning business objectives with partners and employees across designated departments. You will act as a strategic advisor in decision-making processes. You will provide end-to-end HR expertise across talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, and leadership development. This expertise will ensure our people strategy creates a measurable impact on our organisation.

You will be reporting to Head of People Operations BP and will be based in Petailing Jaya, Malaysia.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will shape the organisation's future by understanding its evolving needs, partnering with business leaders in organisational design decisions.
• You will diagnose complex problems by connecting insights across teams, solving for downstream and second-order effects before they surface.
• You will lead the implementation of HR programmes and targeted learning initiatives to upskill the workforce
• You will provide expert guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, and talent development, ensuring equitable practices.
• You will partner with business leaders on workforce planning, forecasting budgets for hiring, engagement, and learning and development while assessing and anticipating team needs.
• You will drive large-scale organisational changes, securing buy-in from stakeholders at all levels and executing internal communication plans for major launches.
• You will use People metrics to guide necessary data-based decisions and changes.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 10+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a human resource business partnering in technology, fintech, or high-growth organisations.
• Track record of solving complex problems and managing organisational change, including experience guiding senior HR professionals through ambiguous situations.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with employees and leaders at all levels, demonstrated through your history of influencing decisions and navigating sensitive conversations.
• Experience with HRIS systems and People analytics tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms) to extract workforce insights and present data to leadership.
• Structured analytical skills with demonstrated judgement, shown through your experience diagnosing causes of organisational challenges and recommending specific solutions.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, demonstrated through your history of delivering workforce initiatives on timeline and budget.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations across the markets where we operate
