Job summary

Grab is seeking a Business Intelligence & Operations Solution specialist to design, build, and maintain automation pipelines for Malaysian Operations. You will streamline workflows, ensure data flows into your solutions, and own end-to-end delivery from scoping bottlenecks to deployment.

You will work closely with the BIOS team, deepen expertise in solution architecture, and apply AI tools to real operational challenges. This onsite role is based at the Petaling Jaya office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field such as Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in Python programming.
• Experience engaging with AI tools to enhance productivity and workflows.
• Working knowledge in SQL for data extraction and management.
• Practical understanding of REST APIs, Webhooks, JSON handling, and connecting disparate tools programmatically.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing operational processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Map operational workflows and write custom scripts to connect systems and automate manual tasks to enhance operational efficiency.
• Utilize Python to automate repetitive tasks and processes, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and maintainable.
• Write optimized SQL queries to fetch, transform, and feed operational data directly into scripts and automated workflows.
• Document all operational processes, including design, development, and implementation phases.
• Create comprehensive user guides and technical documentation to support the deployment and maintenance of solutions.
• Work closely with stakeholders within MY Operations to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing solutions.

Get to Know the Team

The Business Intelligence & Operations Solution (BIOS) team supports Malaysian Operations across two functions: the Business Intelligence arm delivers dashboards and analytics to surface insights that guide operational decisions, while the Operations Solution arm builds automation solutions and streamlines processes to drive efficiency.

Together, we equip the operations team with the tools and data they need to move faster and work smarter.

Get to Know the Role

You will report to the Team Lead of the Business Intelligence & Operations Solution team. You will design, build and maintain automation solutions and pipelines that Malaysian Operations relies on to run efficiently. The solutions involve streamlining workflows and ensuring data flows seamlessly into the tools you build. This role is based onsite at our Petaling Jaya office.

You will own end-to-end solution delivery: from scoping workflow bottlenecks with stakeholders to writing the scripts, integrating systems, and ensuring long-term adoption in the field. You'll deepen your expertise across solution architecture and the application of AI tools to real operational challenges. If you enjoy turning messy operational problems into clean, scalable solutions, this role is for you.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

What Essential Skills You Will Need

The Must-Haves

• Practical understanding of REST APIs, Webhooks, JSON handling, and connecting disparate tools programmatically.


• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field such as Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.


• At least 1 year of professional experience in Python programming, with the ability to build robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.


• You have experience engaging with AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, improve workflows, and contribute new ideas.


• Working knowledge in SQL for data extraction and management.

The Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Codex, Claude Code, Cursor or any AI coding tool.


• Familiarity with version control, APIs, Webhooks, Scripting, System Integration, workflow automation platforms or building lightweight web apps/internal tools
