Job summary

Taylor's Education Group – Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an Assistant Manager, People & Culture for Garden International School. You will lead workforce planning, budgeting, and expatriate lifecycle management while ensuring compliant HR practices aligned with Malaysian regulations and international school standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience in HR generalist or HR operations roles.
• Supervisory/leadership experience is a plus.
• Experience in international schools, expatriate environments, or cross-border hiring.
• Experience with workforce planning, budgeting, compensation & benefits, and HR operations.
• Experience in HR analytics, process improvement, and HR project management.
• Experience liaising with Malaysian government authorities (Immigration, MOE).
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee and expatriate matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce planning and annual P&C budgeting, including headcount, salary benchmarking, and expatriate costs.
• Oversee compensation & benefits benchmarking and program enhancements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for employment, immigration, and MOE requirements.
• Govern HR operations, governance, HRIS data integrity, and reporting.
• Support recruitment strategies and onboarding aligned with safeguarding standards.
• Drive employee experience initiatives and well-being programs.
• Lead HR projects on digitalisation, policy harmonisation, and change management.
• Handle administration relating to staff insurance, attendance, leave, and HR records.
