Job summary

Principle Partners MY is seeking a Vice President, Investments & Partnerships to lead regional deal sourcing, due diligence, and relationship building with founders, investors, corporates and other ecosystem partners in Asia. Based in Penang, Malaysia, the role guides investment decisions, supports the wider investment process, and enables cross-market collaboration to enhance team performance.

Fluency in English is required; multi-Asian language experience is an advantage, with a self-driven

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, corporate development or a related field
• Strong financial analysis, research and presentation skills
• Proven ability to build and maintain senior-level relationships across business and investment communities
• Experience working across borders or with international teams
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional Asian languages are an advantage
• Self-driven, comfortable taking ownership in a small, fast-moving team
• Willing to be based in Penang, Malaysia

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate promising early-stage companies and investment opportunities across the region
• Support investment decisions through financial, market, and company analysis
• Support due diligence and the wider investment process
• Build and manage relationships with founders, investors, corporates and other ecosystem partners
• Connect portfolio companies with business opportunities, partnerships and introductions across Asia
• Support relationships with institutional investors and strategic partners, including preparing reports and communications
• Work closely with teams across multiple markets and take ownership of projects that improve how the team operates
