Job summary

S&P Global Energy, a division of S&P Global, seeks an Associate Analyst in Penang, Malaysia, to support data-driven research on clean energy technologies and supply chains. You will manage proprietary datasets, produce high-quality research, and liaise with clients to inform decisions in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

You will work with a global team across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, synthesize complex information, and contribute to client meetings and thought leadership

Qualifications

• Industry knowledge: clean energy tech or energy supply chains with evidence from academics, industry, or research.
• Analytical ability to handle large data, spot market signals, and compare markets across players.
• Strong written and verbal communication to convey findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Collect and maintain up-to-date information on projects, policies, raw materials, manufacturing, logistics, and other supply chain data.
• Identify market trends, policy changes, and stakeholder activities relevant to clean energy tech and supply chains.
• Synthesize information into clear, data-driven reports and research papers.
• Support client engagement by responding to data and research queries and participating in meetings.
• Collaborate with colleagues across regions to align methodologies and analyses.
• Contribute to webinars, workshops, and executive briefings.
