Job summary

GLOBALFOUNDRIES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a PDK Engineer who will develop design components for Process Design Kits, represent fabrication processes in PDKs, and create automation tools for development, validation and release cycles.

You will review process design rules, SPICE models, and ensure accurate PDK data while collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Microelectronics, Physics, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge or experience in semiconductor design enablement, PDK development, IC design, physical verification, EDA applications, or related field.
• Knowledge of semiconductor process technology, IC design flows and PDK structures.
• Experience with DRC, LVS, or PEX is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret design-rule documentation, tech specs and SPICE model info.
• Programming or scripting capability for automation, data processing, testing or tool integration.
• Strong analytical, debugging, documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop design components for PDKs, including technology files and runtime code readable by EDA tools.
• Develop, deploy, support and maintain PDK components representing fabrication processes.
• Develop, deploy, support and maintain automation tools used in PDK development, validation and release.
• Review and interpret process design rules and SPICE model documentation to create specs and data for PDK.
• Create and maintain test cases for DRC, LVS, PEX flows.
• Perform QA checks and regression tests for PDK deliveries.
• Investigate defects, identify root causes and implement fixes with teams.
• Create/update release notes and technical documentation for PDK usage and limitations.
• Provide technical support for PDK deployment and customer issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PDK development methods and release quality.
