Job summary

Private Advertiser in Penang is seeking an engineer to design test tooling assemblies for Electrical Test First Time Build of HDR cable products and to review PCB/fixtures for electrical testing. You will create process documentation, qualify test programs, and collaborate with global teams on test systems.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 2+ years' PCB design experience, familiarity with LSET/HSET, and serialization scripting.

• Design test tooling assemblies for electrical test of first time build.

• Collaborate with SIG ATG to assemble and debug new test systems.
• Support production on troubleshooting test systems.
• Perform failure analysis with global teams to find root causes.
• Maintain serialization system alongside global teams.
• Handle part number creation in serialization and tracking software.

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Design Test Tooling assemblies for Electrical Test First Time Build of cable assemblies
• Review the design of printed circuit boards and fixtures for Electrical Test of First Time Build of HDR cable product and feedback findings to designer
• Create Process Documentation for Electrical Test processes
• Create and qualify Test Programs for Electrical Test
• Cooperate with SIG ATG to assemble, debug, qualify new Test Systems
• Support production floor for troubleshooting Low and High-Speed Test systems
• Perform failure analysis of Electrical Test failed product and determine root cause with support from Global company teams
• Cooperate with global company teams to maintain company HDR product serialization system
• Part number creation and configuration in company serialization and tracking software
• Cooperate with control engineer, process engineer, manufacturing engineer for transfer project & sustaining improvement project on Electrical Test side

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Above 2 years related working experience on PCB board design
• Familiar with LSET, HSET, signal integrity test
• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing process is a plus
• Experience in creating and maintaining serialization scripting
• Strong interpersonal, technical, verbal, and written communication skills are a must
• Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes
