Job summary

Plexus Corp. Penang, Malaysia, invites applications for a Production Manager responsible for day-to-day leadership of factory Supervisors in PCB assembly operations. The role focuses on on-time delivery, product quality, and production efficiency, with a mandate to drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.

You will oversee staffing, maintain safety and quality standards, manage resources, and collaborate with site management to meet customer requirements and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of related experience preferred.
• Technical expertise in PCB Assembly, SMT, RoHS Assembly, Mechanical Assembly, Lean Manufacturing, IPC Standards, and Quality Systems required.
• Understanding of PCB/SMT processes and environmental regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Execute production schedules to meet KPIs and lead manufacturing team.
• Plan and manage resources; develop cross-trained labor for flexibility.
• Ensure compliance to customer requirements and Plexus standards; drive RCCA for defects.
• Lead Lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects to improve labor efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Provide guidance for complex manufacturing issues and manage direct labor staffing to meet forecasts.
• Develop and coach staff to realize potential and uphold Plexus core values.
