Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Software Manager to lead the AI-enabled software engineering team on-site in Puchong. You will guide backend development using Python, advocate AI-assisted coding practices, and shape CI/CD, DevOps, and deployment strategies for scalable enterprise solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive delivery performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architectures are secure, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• Leadership and mentoring of software engineers and technical teams.
• Delivery accountability and teamwork across the project lifecycle.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development approaches and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the software engineering team, including planning, technical guidance, mentoring, and performance monitoring.
• Drive AI-assisted software development practices to improve speed and quality.
• Oversee development, integration, deployment, and maintenance of AI-driven applications and enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and users to translate requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Ensure delivery aligns with product goals, UX, and operational needs.
• Define and maintain coding standards, architecture guidelines, and security practices.
• Lead backend development using Python-based technologies (FastAPI/Flask).
• Manage DevOps and CI/CD processes (GitLab, Jenkins, Docker) and environment management.
• Drive automated build, test, deployment, and rollback processes for stability.
• Care for containerized environments and deployment across dev/stage/prod.
