Learn N Play Kids House in Kuantan, Malaysia, is seeking a Part-Time Tutor & Coding Instructor to join Learn N Play's team. The role covers weekday tuition and weekend coding classes, with training and teaching support from Lumos Bridge Academy, our B2B2C education programme provider.

You do not need prior coding teaching experience; basic coding knowledge and willingness to learn are required. The position is part-time, with schedules based on enrolment and arranged to suit students.

Qualifications

Learn N Play Kids House is looking for a responsible and enthusiastic Part-Time Tutor & Coding Instructor to join our team.

This is a combined education role involving:

• Weekday tuition and student learning support
• Weekend computer and coding classes

The successful candidate will work directly under Learn N Play Kids House.

For the computer and coding programme, selected candidates will receive programme training, curriculum materials and teaching support from Lumos Bridge Academy, our B2B2C education programme provider.

You do not need to be an experienced coding teacher to apply. However, applicants must already possess basic coding knowledge and be willing to undergo further training before conducting the coding programme.

Job Responsibilities

Weekday Tuition & Student Support

Your responsibilities may include:

• Teach tuition classes based on the centre’s assigned subjects and schedule
• Explain lesson content clearly to students
• Guide students through exercises, revision and classroom learning activities
• Help students strengthen understanding of school subjects and key concepts
• Support students in improving their academic performance
• Manage students during class and maintain a positive learning environment

Weekend Computer & Coding Classes

After completing the required programme training, you will also be responsible for conducting computer and coding classes.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting structured computer and coding lessons
• Following the curriculum, lesson plans and teaching materials provided
• Guiding students through practical coding and computer-based activities
• Helping students understand basic programming concepts and computational thinking
• Managing small-group classroom activities
• Providing basic feedback on students' learning progress
• Attending required training and programme briefings

Coding classes are conducted separately from normal weekday tuition sessions.

Working Arrangement

This is a part-time, class-based position.

Weekday Tuition

Tuition sessions may be arranged within the centre's operating period of approximately:

8:00 AM – 10:00 PM

This does not mean that the employee is required to work continuously from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Actual working hours depend on student enrolment, tuition schedules and operational requirements.

A typical tuition session may be approximately 1–2 hours, depending on the student and class arrangement.

The final working schedule will be arranged by Learn N Play Kids House based on both student requirements and the candidate's availability.

Weekend Coding Classes

Computer and coding classes are conducted mainly during weekends and are scheduled separately from weekday tuition.

A typical coding class is approximately:

1.5 hours per session

Actual class frequency and timing will depend on student enrolment and programme scheduling.

Candidates with reasonable scheduling flexibility are preferred.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• SPM graduate or equivalent
• SPM graduates are welcome to apply
• Must possess basic coding knowledge
• Comfortable using computers and common digital tools
• Interested in teaching and working with children
• Patient, responsible and dependable
• Able to communicate clearly with students
• Willing to learn and undergo further coding programme training
• Able to follow structured lesson plans and teaching materials
• Able to commit responsibly to agreed class schedules

Experience

Previous experience in any of the following areas will be an advantage:

However, previous formal teaching or coding-teaching experience is not compulsory.

The candidate does not need to already be a professional coding instructor.

Candidates who possess basic coding knowledge and demonstrate suitable communication, responsibility and teaching potential will receive additional programme training before conducting the coding classes.
