Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an IT Lecturer to deliver lectures and practicals across core computer science topics. The role focuses on Python, OOP with C#, C++, Java, SQL, algorithms and data structures, with priority given to network, operating systems, software architecture, or software engineering specialisations.

You will review and develop lesson plans, conduct classes and assessments, supervise undergraduates, and contribute to curriculum development while maintaining strong student support.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS/IT or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in related field.
• Experience in programme coordination is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Review, update and develop lesson plans, schemes of work, lectures/practicals and assignments.
• Conduct lectures, tutorials and workshops, and supervise student learning.
• Contribute to development of new academic programmes and improve operations.
• Supervise undergraduate students and monitor academic progress.
• Involve in exams, assessments, counselling and faculty/ university activities.

We are looking for IT Lecturer with the below skill sets:

• Python
• Object Oriented Programming (C#, C++, Java)
• SQL
• Algorithms & Data structure
• Specialisation in Network, Operating Systems, OR Software Architecture OR Software Engineering will be given higher priority.

Responsibilities:

• To review, update and develop lesson plans, scheme of work, lectures/practical, tutorials, assignments, class discussion in compliance with the syllabus and curriculum.
• To conduct lectures, tutorials, discussion, workshops, consultancy and any other means of facilitating the learning of students enrolled for the programme.
• To contribute in the development of new academic programme and to provide ideas, suggestions, proposals and recommendations that can improve the operations, management and profitability of the School/Faculty and University.
• To supervise undergraduate students.
• To monitor and report student progress in term of academic performance and attendance.
• To involve in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments.
• To provide academic counselling and pastoral care to all students.
• To be involved in Faculty and University activities when required.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Master’s Degree in Computer Science/ IT or in related discipline. Candidate majoring in Artificial Intelligence or Cyber Security will stand a higher chance of being shortlisted.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in the related field. Those with programme coordination experience will have an advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong command in written and spoken English.
