Job summary

Taylor's Malaysia is seeking a qualified lecturer to deliver classes, tutorials and practicals, and to develop teaching materials and curricula. You will be involved in examinations, invigilation, and assessment while supporting student engagement and learning outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a relevant bachelor's degree, with preference for Master's or PhD, and experience in higher education teaching and curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education / TESL / English Language Studies, Literature, or a minor in English, or equivalent.
• Experience in higher education teaching and curriculum development; coaching and mentoring with strong presentation skills.
• Experience developing teaching methodologies and materials; proficient with IT in teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classes, lectures, tutorials and practicals with prepared materials.
• Engage in examinations and assessment, invigilation and marking; participate in admin related to teaching and learning.

• Undertake teaching and teaching related duties such as design, preparation and development of teaching materials; conduct classes/lectures, tutorials and practicals; consultation with students, invigilation, marking and assessment
• Establish and maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning to meet the College’s teaching and learning expectations

Administration and Other Activities

• Participate in administrative activities related to teaching & learning, and examination-related matters
• Contribute to student enrichment activities and school committees as and when required

REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate should possess aBachelor’s degreeinEducation / TESL / English Language Studies, Literature, or a minor in English,or equivalent from a recognised university. Master’s degree and PhD applicants are preferred.
• Experience working in the higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and high quality of presentation skills
• Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning. Able to use software blended in the teaching is preferred.
