Job summary

Asian Environmental Solutions Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Part-Time GIS/Draughting Assistant to support our environmental consultancy and project teams. The role focuses on preparing GIS-based maps and technical drawings for EIA reports and related studies.

You will handle GIS mapping tasks, produce location and environmental maps, and update drawings as project requirements evolve. The initial appointment is 3 months with potential for extension to full-time based on performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in GIS and preparation of maps/plans.
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS, QGIS or equivalent.
• Ability to prepare clear and professional maps for technical reports.
• Experience in AutoCAD or similar software is an advantage.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare GIS maps, plans and spatial information for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports and environmental studies.
• Produce location plans, land-use maps, environmental sensitivity maps, monitoring-location plans and other project-specific mapping.
• Prepare and update technical drawings and plans based on information provided by project consultants.
• Compile and present spatial information in a clear and professional format suitable for inclusion in technical reports and submissions.
• Assist the environmental consultancy team with GIS, mapping and draughting requirements for ongoing projects.
• Revise maps and drawings in response to project or regulatory requirements.
