Job summary

SUN PHARMA in Kedah, Malaysia, seeks a Production Supervisor to ensure timely delivery, maintain GMP in packing areas, and lead a productive team. You will collaborate with senior management to meet daily targets, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.

This role is based at the plant and requires a hands-on, GMP-focused leader. Ideal candidates have experience in production planning, supervision, and SOP updates, with the ability to optimize yields and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Assist Senior Manager 2 and supervise production team to achieve targets in production plan while maintaining GMP.
• Carry out production operations as per plan to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure all production activities comply with GMP in primary and secondary packing areas.
• Maintain optimum manpower and monitor overtime and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activity and productivity in primary and secondary packing areas.
• Provide GMP-related training to staff.
• Update departmental SOPs for packing procedures.
• Supervise subordinates and ensure timely, accurate completion of tasks.
• Reduce cycle time and downtime in packing areas.
• Ensure reconciliation of packing materials.
• Participate in QA internal audits.
• Review and approve production documents as an authorized person.
• Assist in market complaint investigations.
• Aim for optimum yield and reject control in packing areas.

Responsible to ensure production planning & timely delivery of high productivity and low cost products and with compliance to GMP at packing area.

Essential Job Functions:

• To assist Senior Manager 2 and supervise production team to achieve target in production plan with high productivity and adhere to GMP.
• To carry out production operation as per production plan and delivery on time.
• To ensure all operation of production adhere to GMP compliance at primary and secondary packing area.
• To maintain an optimum level of manpower and overtime.
• Responsible for monitoring activity and productivity in primary and secondary packing area.
• To provide training related to GMP activities.
• Responsible for departmental standard operating procedure update (mainly for primary and secondary packing related procedures).
• To monitor the work of subordinates and ensure the necessary assistance is provided to them for their timely, adequate and accurate completion of the assigned work.
• To reduce Primary and secondary packing cycle time and down time.
• To ensure reconciliation of primary and secondary packing material.
• To participate in Internal Audit conducted by QA department.
• To act as authorized person for reviewing and approval of production documents.
• Responsible in assisting market complaint investigation.
• To ensure optimum yield is achieved in primary and secondary packing area
• To ensure optimum rejection control at primary and secondary packing area.
