Job summary

HQ Pack Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned Process Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of packaging manufacturing processes in our Kulai/ Malaysia facility. The role emphasizes implementing CMM standards, RTM processes, and sustainable refurbishment of packaging materials.

The candidate will support production, monitor OEE, and drive continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, 7 QC tools, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a process engineer in an MNC manufacturing plant, preferably packaging/semiconductor.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• Industrial engineering background preferred.
• Experience with process simulations and standard operating procedures.
• Advanced technical skills to access data, trends and performance.
• Analytical skills – interpretation of data into charts, diagrams, and reports.
• Experience redesigning production and business processes to optimize output and reduce defects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for packaging operations.
• Implement CMM standards across all manufacturing processes.
• Design and implement RTM processes for packaging.
• Manage refurbishment of packaging materials to ensure sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
• Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Provide technical support to production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor OEE and process performance metrics; identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure production targets are met with optimal resource utilization.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen initiatives.
• Apply 7 QC Tools for structured problem solving.
• Analyze production data to drive data-informed decision making.
• Act as an OEE member to drive continuous improvement in collaboration with production.
