Job summary

MVC Resources is seeking an Optometrist in Kuala Lumpur to provide comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and treat eye conditions, and fit corrective gear with patient-centered care.

The role requires Bachelor of Optometry. Fresh graduates and Senior Optometrists are welcome. Working hours: Tue–Sat 8:30am–6pm; Sun 10am–5pm. Competitive benefits package offered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Eye Exams: assess visual acuity, depth perception and eye coordination.
• Diagnose and treat conditions like refractive errors and ocular diseases.
• Prescribe corrective gear: eyeglasses, contact lenses or low-vision aids.
• Administer care: vision therapy, pre/postoperative care, and medications as allowed by state law.
• Perform health referrals for diabetes or hypertension to specialists.

Job description

• Diagnose and Treat: Identify conditions like nearsightedness, astigmatism, glaucoma, and other ocular diseases.
• Prescribe Corrective Gear: Fit and prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, or low-vision aids.
• Administer Care: Provide vision therapy, manage pre- and postoperative care for eye surgeries, and prescribe medications where state law allows.
• Health Referrals: Screen for general health issues like diabetes or high blood pressure and refer patients to medical specialists.
