Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology seeks an Operator II to handle manufacturing processes including degreasing, pickling, passivation, electro polish, and washing. The role emphasizes quality, on-time delivery, and adherence to safety and housekeeping standards within a cleanroom environment.

Candidates should read basic engineering drawings, work well in teams, and be able to lift up to 20 kg. Shift work and OT may be required, with a focus on continuous improvement and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• N/O levels/Nitec or equivalent required.
• SPM or equivalent cert accepted for Malaysia.
• Able to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Willing to work in a cleanroom and perform shift work.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture degreasing, pickling, passivation, electro polish, and washing processes.
• Ensure production output and quality meet specifications and schedules.
• Provide proper handover to the next shift and document deviations.
• Assist in training new comers and participate in continuous improvement.
• Maintain cleanroom discipline and adhere to safety protocols.
• Support ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

UCT is looking for a talented Operator II to join us in Malaysia!

Role Summary:

Responsible for manufacturing degreasing, pickling, passivation, electro polish, washing processes, production output, quality, on-time delivery, process improvement, safety and housekeeping in the manufacturing line to manufacture high quality products for customers with the objective of ensuring smooth business operations within department guidelines, work protocols and corporate policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for production and quality output
• Perform processes according to schedule and required specifications, drawings, and work instructions
• Ensure full and efficient passdown to the next shift.
• Highlight any problems or abnormalities
• Provide training activities for new comer (buddy system)
• Take part in continuous improvement activities
• Perform housekeeping, adhere to manufacturing discipline and cleanroom protocol
• Support any relevant ad hoc duties and tasking assign by the superior.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• Able to work independently
• Able to speak and write simple English
• Able to read and interpret basic Engineering drawing
• Team player with good problem solving skills
• Basic computer literacy.
• Able to carry heavy loads (up to 20Kg)
• Must be willing to work in the cleanroom environment: wearing jumpsuits, safety helmet and safety shoes
• Must be willing to work shift work and OT if required1 year manufacturing experience preferred or prior working experience in manufacturing environment
• 2 years of working experience in the related field would be an advantage
• 1-2 years working in machine shop, assembly clean rooms. Semi-Conductor and/or similar industry

Education, Certifications, Requirements:

• N/O levels/Nitec in any discipline or its equivalent
• At least SPM for Malaysian or equivalent cert in other countries.

Work Environment :

Physical Demands :

• Ability to climb, stoops, kneels, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp.
• Ability to stand for sustained periods of time.
• Ability to exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Ability to move arms, hands and fingers.
• Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks

Environmental Exposure :

• Required to wear personal protective equipment
• Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals and debris.

• Overnight Travel
• Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting)
