Job summary

NuEnergy Holdings Berhad seeks an experienced Operations & Maintenance Supervisor based in Sabah to oversee daily operation, maintenance and performance of utility-scale solar PV assets. You will coordinate with contractors and internal teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation in line with generation targets.

The role emphasizes hands-on electrical maintenance, SCADA monitoring, and strong teamwork across-site teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in electrical maintenance, power generation or solar PV O&M.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in utility-scale / LSS solar projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, MV/HV systems, transformers and protection systems.
• Experience with SCADA and solar plant monitoring systems.
• Experience supervising contractors and site maintenance teams.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety, Permit-to-Work and LOTO procedures.
• Willing to work at solar plant sites and perform on-call duties when required.
• Good communication, reporting and team-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar PV plants.
• Monitor plant performance through SCADA and monitoring systems.
• Monitor generation, Performance Ratio (PR), availability, alarms and equipment performance.
• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate rectification of equipment faults and plant breakdowns.
• Monitor the condition and performance of: PV modules and inverters; DC/AC systems; MV switchgear; Power transformers; Protection relays; SCADA/RTU systems; Substation and auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate with SESB, OEMs, O&M contractors and specialist service providers.
• Supervise electrical switching, isolation activities.
• Ensure all maintenance and site activities comply with HSE requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and identify potential equipment and safety issues.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure maintenance works are completed properly and on schedule.
• Maintain equipment history, maintenance records, spare-parts inventory and site documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly O&M reports.
• Investigate recurring faults, equipment failures and generation losses.
• Support root-cause analysis and recommend improvements to enhance plant reliability and performance.
• Participate in emergency response, breakdown recovery and major maintenance activities.

Operations & Maintenance Supervisor (Based in Sabah)

NuEnergy Holdings Berhad is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and is actively involved in the solar renewable energy business.

We are looking for an experienced Large Scale Solar (LSS) O&M Supervisor to join our Operations & Maintenance team.

As an in-house asset operator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and performance of our utility-scale solar PV assets. You will act as the key site representative, ensuring the plant operates safely, reliably and efficiently while achieving its generation and availability targets.

This is a hands-on role for someone with strong electrical and solar O&M experience who enjoys working directly with plant equipment, contractors and technical teams.

Job Responsibilities

Supervise daily operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar PV plants.

Monitor plant performance through SCADA and monitoring systems.

Monitor generation, Performance Ratio (PR), availability, alarms and equipment performance.
