Job summary

Messer Industrial Gases Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to supervise operations, adjust plant settings, and support On-site and Pipeline Bulk projects across SEA.

You will provide engineering solutions from opportunity identification through project approval, ensuring feasibility, cost optimization, and compliance with Messer standards. The role involves preparing technical designs, CAPEX/OPEX estimates, and coordinating with suppliers and country teams to deliver successful project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, equipment sizing, utilities, and engineering design.
• Experience in preparing technical proposals, preliminary engineering designs, and CAPEX/OPEX estimates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operations, adjust plant settings to meet production plans and requirements; perform assigned tasks to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation.
• Support On-site and Pipeline Bulk projects by providing engineering expertise from opportunity identification through project approval, ensuring technical feasibility and cost optimization.
• Prepare preliminary engineering designs, technical specifications, and project scope for new OSP projects; develop CAPEX and OPEX estimates and define technical interfaces.
• Provide technical support during project execution, installation, commissioning, and implementation; coordinate with country teams to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with project specs.
