Job summary

BP plc in Kuala Lumpur (hybrid) is seeking an Operational Risk Advisor to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organisation, focusing on data quality, analytics, and training delivery. You will influence decision-makers and support continuous improvement in risk practices.

The role requires 2–5 years in operational risk, strong data storytelling, and collaboration across global teams, with a shift pattern from 10am–7pm MYT.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in operational risk or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence across levels.
• Strong data analysis skills with PowerBI and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Shape and present strategic operational risk insights to senior leadership.
• Develop and improve operational risk processes and controls for better risk mitigation.
• Be a custodian of data quality in the operational risk system and translate data into insights.
• Create training materials and deliver training on Operational Risk matters if needed.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to drive risk-change initiatives and adopt risk thinking.
