Job summary

BID Operations in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an analytical team member to support trading operations and portfolio management across multiple currencies. You will work with senior dealers to monitor markets, manage positions, and ensure risk limits are followed.

The role emphasizes building analytical tools, dashboards, and insightful reports while collaborating with the team on risk strategies and performance improvements. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a quantitative/IT discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience in financial services.
• Previous trading experience or exposure to financial markets is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.
• Demonstrated interest in financial markets and market microstructure.
• Comfortable with programming or scripting in any language; able to turn trade data into insights.
• Solid numerical and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Build scripts, dashboards, and analytical tools to sharpen the team’s edge.
• Coordinate and manage the trading portfolio across currencies during sessions.
• Monitor market movements and economic news and events.
• Manage risk with positioning and trading within approved limits and procedures.
• Prepare daily reports for stakeholders and present key metrics clearly.
• Run analytical work on related business areas as requested by the senior team.
• Work with senior dealers on trade supervision and risk strategy alignment.
