Job summary

Neways Electronics International NV is seeking an experienced Operational Buyer to ensure continuous production flow by executing POs, maintaining ERP data, and securing timely material availability. You will proactively prevent disruptions, expedite critical materials, and collaborate with Planning, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality teams to align supply with production priorities.

• 8–10 years of procurement experience, preferably in EMS/electronics/manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools.
• Understanding of procurement processes, sourcing, and supplier management.
• Basic knowledge of cost analysis and supply chain risk management.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders (POs) based on MRP/ERP requirements.
• Ensure accurate and timely PO issuance to approved suppliers.
• Monitor order confirmations, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain strong control of order status and system accuracy.
• Track and follow up on open orders to ensure on-time delivery (OTD).
• Proactively expedite critical materials to avoid production delays.
• Resolve issues related to shortages, late deliveries, and allocation constraints.
• Work closely with Planning to align supply with production priorities.
• Act as the primary contact for day-to-day supplier communication.
• Follow up on delivery commitments, shipment schedules, and documentation.
• Escalate critical supply risks to Category Buyer or Procurement Manager.
• Support supplier performance monitoring through delivery and responsiveness tracking.
• Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Support NPI activities through timely PO placement.
• Assist in resolving GR/IR issues, invoice discrepancies, and shipment problems.
• Maintain accurate ERP data, including lead times, pricing, and supplier records.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with procurement processes.
• Generate reports on open orders, shortages, and delivery performance.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits when required.
• Adhere to approved supplier usage and sourcing guidelines.

Additionally, you have:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• 8–10 years of procurement or buying experience, preferably in EMS, electronics, or manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of electronic components supply market (e.g., semiconductors, passive components)
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools
• Understanding of procurement processes, sourcing, and supplier management
