Job summary

Asia Recruit's client in Ipoh, Malaysia, seeks a Resident Engineer with a strong testing background in semiconductors to be based on-site. You will support mass production, NPI activities, and ensure process quality for SOT/SOD/DFN/Power packages, coordinating with subcons and customers.

Requirements include a Bachelor in Electronics/Electrical engineering and at least 5 years in test engineering or subcon management in semiconductors, plus good communication and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electronics or Electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in test engineering or subcon management in semiconductor industry.
• Familiar with Analog or Discrete products
• Familiar with NPI or Process / Test Requirements.
• Familiar with SOT / SOD / DFN / Power Package related products.
• Familiar with quality system / FMEA / Control Plan / audit skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site Sustaining Engineer for the subcon site.
• Support mass production and NPI activities for semiconductor packages such as SOT, SOD, DFN, and Power Packages.
• Oversee production operational performance, including specification execution, yield performance review, manufacturing line audits, and cycle time monitoring.
• Support the implementation of company requirements and standards at subcon sites.
• Support customer requirements, visits, and audits at subcon sites.
• Act as the communication interface between the company and subcons.
• Support engineering communication and collaboration with external subcon partners.
