Job summary

CHEC Construction (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Officer to assist in implementing and monitoring OSH policies and site safety requirements. You will oversee daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures, regulations and approved safe work practices.

Responsibilities include conducting regular safety inspections, coordinating toolbox meetings, and ensuring workers and subcontractors follow PPE guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with DOSH/JKKP and Yellow Book.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience, preferably in construction or civil engineering.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian OSH requirements and site safety practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to conduct site inspections, toolbox meetings and safety monitoring effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify hazards and unsafe acts.
• Recommend and follow up on corrective actions to reduce risks.
• Lead toolbox meetings and safety briefings for workers and subcontractors.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Monitor housekeeping, access routes, scaffolding, lifting and high-risk activities.
• Assist in risk assessments and ensure control measures are implemented.
