Job summary

TransPerfect Games in Malaysia is seeking a Game Localization QA Tester (freelance, onsite) to join a testing team ensuring linguistic quality of localized content across platforms, writing detailed bug reports, and performing regression testing.

You will review terminology, grammar, punctuation, and style in English and Simplified Chinese, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide feedback to improve gameplay and player experience.

Qualifications

Must be a regular gamer with a passion for the video games industry.
Native level of Simplified Chinese with excellent spelling and grammar.
Good command of English and Simplified Chinese; instructions and documentation will be in English.
Gaming LQA experience is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in CS/game design is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Identify, isolate, document, and fix localization/linguistic issues and verify fixes.
Follow and complete Test Cases/Checklists for targeted testing and procedures.
Write bug descriptions per company standards and client specs.
Apply knowledge of user preferences in target market to influence product.
Proactively look for gaps in test coverage.
Collaborate with partner teams in testing the product.
Provide feedback on gameplay, fun factor, and balance based on target market.
Complete other tasks as deemed appropriate.
