Job summary

Memories Entertainment Sdn Bhd is seeking a Technical Designer to develop detailed technical drawings, floor plans, and 3D models for event spaces. The role requires advanced AutoCAD and SketchUp skills, plus the ability to translate client concepts into production-ready specs.

You will collaborate with creative, production, and operations teams, ensuring designs meet safety and logistical requirements and are executed onsite during setup. An onsite presence is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical design, ideally within events/production.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other 3D design software.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive technical drawings, floor plans, layouts, and 3D models using AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or other design software.
• Create detailed 3D visualisations, renderings, and concepts for events, booths, and brand activation spaces.
• Translate client requirements into accurate 3D designs, drawings, and production-ready specs.
• Collaborate with creative, production, and operations teams to ensure designs meet logistical and safety requirements.
• Prepare technical documents including floor plans, elevations, dimensions, construction details, and installation guidelines.
• Ensure accurate measurements, traffic flow, and space planning for efficient event operations.
• Be onsite during setup to oversee execution, troubleshoot, and adjust designs as needed.
• Comply with venue specs, safety guidelines, and technical standards.
• Review and revise 3D designs based on feedback and real-time needs; maintain organized records.
• Coordinate with vendors and production teams to ensure fabrication aligns with approved designs.
