Job summary

Powerwell Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Technician to perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical switchboards at various project sites in Malaysia. The role requires strong understanding of switchboards, busbars and safety standards to ensure reliable power distribution systems.

Key tasks include on-site maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, inspections, testing and commissioning support, with travel to project sites and collaboration with project

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in electrical fields.
• Experience with LV and MV switchgear is an advantage.
• Familiar with site work and ability to travel.
• Able to read single and three-phase schematic diagrams.
• Willing to travel and work on project sites.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft software.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance of electrical systems, panels, switchboards and equipment.
• Install electrical systems including wiring of switches and breakers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and equipment failures.
• Conduct routine inspections for safety and compliance.
• Test electrical systems to verify function and design specs.
• Support equipment commissioning on-site.
• Interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Collaborate with project engineers and technicians.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.
• Provide client updates and stay informed on industry practices.
• Handle emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Stay updated through training.
