Job summary

Alcon Johor (known as CIBA VISION Johor Sdn. Bhd.) is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, retrofits, and upgrades on Alcon Surgical instruments.

You will troubleshoot technical issues, provide training, and act as the on-site technical representative to ensure optimal equipment performance. You will work within Alcon's Technical Services, supporting customers with equipment reliability and service excellence, while ensuring

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in the medical device service industry or related technical field.
Experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or technical support is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement annual plans to secure service contracts for Alcon instruments beyond warranty coverage.
Perform installation, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, repairs, retrofits, and upgrades for Alcon Surgical instruments.
Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for instruments under warranty, service contracts, and demonstrations.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine appropriate technical solutions per product specs and customer requirements.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and timely service delivery.
Submit all service documentation accurately and on time, including ServiceMax work orders and cases.
Maintain inventory levels of spare parts, diagnostic tools, and test equipment.
Test repaired instruments and demonstrate proper functionality to customers.
Consult with supervisors regarding complex issues; collaborate with sales to identify service opportunities.
Monitor service tools for availability, calibration, and serviceability.
Conduct technical training and product briefings for customers and internal stakeholders.
Install retrofits and communicate benefits and operational changes to customers.
Support product complaint intake and report to Regulatory Affairs when required.
