Job summary

Elsa Energy Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Drilling Performance Engineer for a 2-year contract. The role is office-based with offshore/site visits as required.

You will monitor drilling performance against plans and benchmarks, analyse data to identify inefficiencies and NPT, and develop dashboards using Excel and Power BI. You will also conduct technical-limit benchmarks and prepare end-of-well performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 3–5 years of drilling and well-construction experience, with at least 3 years in drilling engineering or analytics.
• Strong understanding of offshore drilling operations and multi-well campaigns.
• Hands-on experience with drilling data and digital performance monitoring systems.
• Proficiency in Excel; Power BI, SQL or Python is an advantage.
• Experience with Corva, NOV Kaizen / NOVOS, WITSML or equivalents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor drilling performance against plans and benchmarks.
• Analyse drilling data to identify inefficiencies and NPT.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Excel and Power BI.
• Conduct technical-limit analysis and benchmark wells.
• Provide performance reports and recommendations to the Drilling Manager.
• Validate data from rig systems and track improvement actions.
