Job summary

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based at Axon Children’s Centre in Cyberjaya. The Occupational Therapist will provide assessment and intervention for children with a range of developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs, using play-based and child-led approaches. Daily responsibilities include conducting standardized and observational assessments, developing individualized therapy plans, delivering one-on-one and small-group sessions, and monitoring progress toward functional goals. The role involves collaborating with families, educators, and the multidisciplinary team to support children across home, school, and community settings, including providing caregiver training and school-based recommendations. The Occupational Therapist will also contribute to documentation, report writing, case discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with evidence-based and neuro-affirming practice.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based pediatric practice.
• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine and Rehabilitation to understand developmental, neurological, and physical conditions impacting function and participation.
• Candidates should possess experience or interest in Pediatrics, with the ability to work effectively with children and adolescents across diverse developmental profiles.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with families, multidisciplinary team members, and school partners, and to document clearly and accurately.
• Candidates should possess or hold a recognized degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent), relevant professional registration or licensure (where applicable), and ongoing commitment to professional development.
• Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to practice in a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and family-centered manner.
• Candidates should possess organizational and time-management abilities, including maintaining caseloads, preparing reports, and contributing to team meetings and case conferences.
