Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Post-basic qualification is an advantage.
• Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Must possess own transport for commuting to clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Teaching & Student Supervision: Supervise nursing students in planning and implementing patient care across various clinical disciplines.
• Clinical Teaching & Student Supervision: Guide students in delivering effective, cost-conscious patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention and control.
• Clinical Teaching & Student Supervision: Teach and supervise nursing procedures during clinical practice to ensure students achieve the required competencies.
• Clinical Teaching & Student Supervision: Conduct bedside teaching sessions aligned with programme learning outcomes.
• Skills Laboratory & Teaching Support: Prepare orientation materials and serve as a preceptor during student orientation programmes.
• Skills Laboratory & Teaching Support: Assist academic staff in mock ward teaching sessions and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) preparations.
• Skills Laboratory & Teaching Support: Supervise students during skills laboratory practice and ensure completion of clinical logbooks prior to progression.
• Assessment & Clinical Administration: Conduct clinical assessments to ensure students achieve the objectives of each clinical posting.
• Assessment & Clinical Administration: Enter clinical assessment marks into the University’s information management system accurately and promptly.
• Assessment & Clinical Administration: Prepare and manage clinical rosters for student postings.
• Faculty Engagement: Support lecturers in teaching clinical skills in both laboratory and ward settings.
• Faculty Engagement: Participate in faculty activities, including meetings, open days, and orientation programmes.
• Faculty Engagement: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dean.
