About the role

EMS Healthcare Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our aged care team in Klang, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering quality care and support to our elderly residents. As a Nursing Assistant, you will work alongside qualified nursing staff to ensure our residents receive the highest standard of personal care, comfort and dignity. This position is fundamental to maintaining the wellbeing and quality of life of the individuals in our care.

What you'll be doing

Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting

Supporting nurses with wound care, medication administration and monitoring of resident health conditions

Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment for all residents

Monitoring and reporting changes in residents' physical condition, behaviour or emotional wellbeing to nursing staff

Assisting with mobility support, transferring and repositioning residents with appropriate techniques and equipment

Providing emotional support and companionship to residents

Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of care provided

Adhering to infection control and health and safety protocols at all times

Responding promptly to residents' requests and maintaining professional communication with residents, families and staff

What we're looking for

A current or recently completed certification in Nursing Assistance or relevant healthcare qualification

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work compassionately with elderly individuals

Physical capability to assist with resident mobility and personal care tasks

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety

Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude towards work

Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of our residents

Previous experience in aged care or healthcare settings is highly desirable

Ability to manage compassion fatigue and maintain emotional wellbeing in a demanding care environment
