About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Ward to join the nursing team at EMS Healthcare Centre in Seremban 2, Negeri Sembilan. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care on our ward. As a Nurse Ward, you will be at the forefront of patient care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. This position is integral to maintaining the standards of clinical excellence and patient safety that EMS Healthcare Centre is known for.
Key responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care to ward patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with activities of daily living
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and documentation
- Collaborating with doctors, allied health professionals and other nursing staff to develop and implement individualised care plans
- Educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options and discharge planning
- Ensuring ward safety and infection control protocols are adhered to at all times
- Responding promptly to patient calls and requests, maintaining compassionate and professional communication
- Assisting with procedures and treatments as directed by medical staff
- Contributing to a clean, organised and safe ward environment
- Participating in handover sessions and ward rounds to ensure continuity of care
- Supporting junior nursing staff and contributing to their professional development where applicable
What we're looking for
- Current nursing registration or licence to practise as a nurse in Malaysia
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a general medical or surgical ward setting
- Strong knowledge of patient care protocols, infection control and safety procedures
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare professionals
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy and patience when working with patients
- Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple patients and tasks
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Physical capability to perform the demands of the role, including lifting and moving patients safely
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training
