Job summary

Keysight Technologies Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an NPI Test Engineer to join diverse worldwide engineering teams. The role focuses on developing state-of-the-art signal analyzer products for next-generation 6G RF/microwave testing, from prototype through production.

You will influence design for manufacturability, support test and verification activities, and help ensure reliable production transitions across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer / Software Engineering.
• Good programming skills in C, C++ or C#.
• Ability in other programming and scripting languages; web development a plus.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop state-of-the-art Keysight Signal Analyzer products for NPI.
• Influence product design for manufacturability and global supply chain readiness.
• Support transition from prototype to full production and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with suppliers to meet cost, quality and delivery goals.
• Design and develop test stations and test/measurement equipment.
• Setup production process flow and maintain MES.
• Manage databases and testing infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot firmware, software and test codes across stations.

Responsibilities

NPI Test Engineer

Exciting opportunity to work with diverse worldwide engineering teams to develop state-of-the-art Keysight Signal Analyzer products. These products are used in latest 6G electronic communications as well as in RF, Microwave and Millimeter wave test and measurements.

Improves products, processes, and components through test engineering to meet project objectives. Participates actively in new product introduction, including influencing the design of the product to ensure manufacturability and conformance with the global supply chain, enabling prototyping while in the R&D lab, testing the reliability of prototypes and managing the transition into production. Supports and implements the transition of products and manufacturing processes from prototype to full production and through the entire life cycle of the product. May work with suppliers to ensure achievement of goals for cost, quality and delivery of parts and materials.

Key accountabilities:

• Software and Test development, verification and validation.
• New test and measurement algorithm development.
• Product, firmware and software qualification.
• New test station design and development using electronic test and measurement equipment such as Signal Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Power Meter, Power Sensor, Digital Multimeter and others.
• Setup NPI and production process flow.
• Maintain and support Manufacturing Execution System.
• Database Setup and Management.
• Works on manufacturing engineering assignments with clearly defined objectives.
• Solves technical problems related to product firmware and software as well as test codes, test stations and test infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer / Software Engineering.
• Possess good programming skills in C, C++ or C#.
• Ability in other programming and scripting languages and web development will be added advantage
• Possess good leadership skills, teamworking skills, problem solving skills as well as good communication skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Passionate in discovering new engineering problems and producing creative and innovative solutions.
