Job summary

JDA WMS in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Deputy Project Manager to lead NPI and customer projects from quotation to production launch. You will coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery and adherence to quality standards, while supporting quotations and cost estimates.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in manufacturing environments such as injection moulding or automotive sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in NPI, product development, tooling, or project management.
• Experience in plastic injection moulding, stamping, plating, assembly, or automotive manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage NPI, engineering, and customer projects from quotation through product development, tooling, and production launch.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Work with design, tooling, process engineering, quality, and production to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review customer requirements and specifications to ensure deliverables meet expectations.
• Oversee tooling development and process engineering for production readiness.
• Monitor risks, issues, and changes, escalating and resolving as needed.
• Ensure compliance with quality and manufacturing standards throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare and present project status reports to management and customers.
• Support quotation and costing activities for new projects and development.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and NPI workflows.
• Coordinate with customers on technical and project matters, building strong relationships.
